Volcanic hazards in western Long Valley caldera
Posted by Charles Meyn on Wednesday November 16, @02:32PM
from the dept.
I will be reviewing the major concepts from the 1981 paper by C. Dan Miller entitled "Potential Hazards from volcanic eruptions in the Long Valley-Mono Lake area," as well as the first chapter of Joshua H. Ring's thesis entitled "Young volcanism in western Long Valley caldera, California." I will be concentrating on the methods used by both authors in the production of their hazard maps and how the hazards zones were defined.
